Artist's Comments
This is an A4 drawing illustrating a struggle between early Roman republican troops (semi-proffesional) and the might of the hellenic world. On Roman side there are mainly Hastati, Principes and Triarri and on the Greek side we have some hoplites, tessalian and macedonian cavalery and lots of thracians and bastaranae with their deadly rhompaia- the scythes attached to pole-arms.
I might add elephants and lots of arrows/flying jevelins and make it into the Ausculum battle- a famous site of the pyrrhic victory. No references used- all drawn from memory!! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
